How the Metro bus service came about, who runs it, its September 2026 launch on seven routes, the plans for Kandy and other cities, and the October 2026 collisions with private buses, as Sri Lankan outlets report them. Launch plans are attributed to the officials who gave them, and the police claims about the collisions are allegations; no finding is reported.
